Doha, Qatar, February 14, 2019: Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF), a member of Qatar Foundation (QF), has hosted its first Research Outcome Seminar (ROS) of the year at Education City, which followed Qatar National Sport Day and invited researchers to share the outcomes of their sport-focused projects with the local community.

Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF), a member of Qatar Foundation (QF), has announced the outcome of the first Clusters Track of the 11th cycle of its main funding programme, the National Priorities Research Programme (NPRP). 

The aim of the new track is to solve complex, interdisciplinary research problems that require a holistic approach, with larger teams and strategic management to steer sub-projects towards achieving an impactful outcome.   

QNRF sessions shed light on student research initiatives

Students from local universities participated in two information sessions held jointly by Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF) – a member of Qatar Foundation (QF) – and Qatar Shell to learn about funding opportunities and new initiatives designed to support the next generation of researchers and scientists. 

The sessions outlined the aims of the recently announced partnership between QF and Qatar Shell to co-fund the Undergraduate Research Experience Programme (UREP), QNRF’s flagship programme for developing research infrastructure in Qatar by establishing the basis of scientific research at undergraduate level. More than 3,700 undergraduate students have participated in the 23 cycles of UREP, with more than 1,000 projects being awarded funding.

Doha, Qatar, January 29, 2019: Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF), in collaboration with Texas A&M University at Qatar (TAMUQ), today launched the STEM Hub, a facility that aims to promote creative applications of engineering and science.
