WCM-Q scientists produce WHO report on eliminating hepatitis C in Eastern Mediterranean region

Researchers at Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar (WCM-Q), in partnership with the World Health Organization (WHO), have produced a comprehensive report on the hepatitis C virus epidemic in the Eastern Mediterranean region, offering guidance on eliminating the disease by the WHO’s 2030 target date.

Team Qatar, the STEM-vengers, have finished in 19th place among 175 teams worldwide in the FIRST Global Challenge.

The team is part of Texas A&M University at Qatar’s STEM Hub Robotics Club (SHRC), a joint initiative between the QF partner university and the Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF).

QU-GPC and ConocoPhillips complete Stage II wastewater reduction project

The project named ‘Osmotic concentration for reducing injected wastewater volumes in Qatar’ was launched in 2018 and was funded by the Qatar National Research Fund

Wastewater management remains a global challenge to the oil and gas (O&G) industry. In Qatar, the regulations imposed by Qatar Petroleum require a 50% reduction in liquid discharge from all oil and gas processing facilities.
