QNRF awards three exceptional proposals

Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF), a member of Qatar Foundation Research and Development (QF R&D), has announced the awards of three research proposals submitted to the sixth batch of its National Priorities Research Program – Exceptional Proposals (NPRP–EP). Hamad Medical Corporation and Texas A&M University at Qatar will benefit from funding through NPRP–EP, which offers additional resources beyond those available under the National Priorities Research Program.

Doha was founded 200 years ago, say archaeologists

The University College of London-Qatar’s ‘The origins of Doha’ project is a research about early settlements of Doha, through the Qatar National Research Fund. The excavations were carried out with Qatar Museums. The historic town located in (and under) central Doha appears to have been founded sometime in the first two decades of the 1800s.

Northwestern University media survey this month

Northwestern University Qatar has announced that fieldwork for its third annual media use survey will begin this month.The study, a recipient of a National Priorities Research Program award from the Qatar National Research Fund, will provide new insights into people’s use of and attitudes toward media.
