Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF), a member of Qatar Foundation (QF), cordially invites you to its online Research Outcome Seminar (ROS) entitled, “Fintech & Blockchain-based Technologies in Qatar: Current R&D Activities and Challenges.”

Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) play a crucial role in providing a better quality of life through affordable and hassle-free digital services for all communities.

The use of new technologies (databases, applications, mobiles, wearables, drones, wireless sensors, 5G, cloud/fog computing, data analytics, AI) is the engine to shape the fourth industrial revolution and the finance sector evolution (FinTech), and at the core of next-generation healthcare delivery (HealthTech), a quality education supply (EduTech), environment and planet protection, and the burst of new digital and smart businesses.

Several opportunities as well as risks emanate from digital finance and affect consumers, banks, regulators, and economies. This seminar offers an overview of ongoing or recently completed QNRF-funded projects in the fields of Fintech and Blockchain-based technologies as well as their applications.

Over the last 15 years, QNRF has been supporting research projects in FinTech and blockchain-based smart and secure technologies in different sectors and collaborating with various local end-users.
