Research Outcome Seminar (ROS)

Advancing Research in Pediatric Diseases and Conditions

The scope and pace of pediatric research discoveries are rooted in our understanding of basic science through to clinical studies, as well as improved technologies, which have advanced disease outcomes in children. Greater advocacy, governance and the imperative to conduct collaborative pediatric clinical trials, have also accelerated change in clinical policies and public health practices.

Emerging competitive programs and research priorities at QNRF will continue to build new knowledge critical to child health. For example, the support of genomic approaches and regenerative medicine, has led their rapid integration into the diagnosis of hereditary diseases in children. QNRF’s support of pediatric interventions, recognises that such treatments in adulthood may have limited success.

To learn more about this, you are invited to an online seminar which will highlight QNRF’s commitment and continual investment in supporting a broad-based biomedical research in understanding the hereditary and developmental origins of pediatric diseases and conditions in Qatar.

The seminar will feature presentations delivered by selected QNRF-funded researchers, who will share the details of their projects in line with Qatar’s National Research Priorities, followed by a panel discussion. More importantly, the ROS will also provide attendees with an opportunity to network, collaborate and share the benefits of their work with other researchers and the public.
