What does QNRF mean by ethical compliance approval for hazardous materials?

QNRF requires the LPI to submit approval from the appropriate Institutional committee, that the Lab is certified (safe to operate) and the research team received the required training course to conduct this project. This procedure is to protect all members of the research team from any biological (viral, bacterial, fungal), and chemical (Carcinogens, radioactive and flammables) agents.   Such committees for example, may be Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) for research involving bio-hazardous materials, or equivalent ethics board or committee as described above.
