Objective
The aim of the call is to intensify cooperation between Turkish and Qatari participants in science and industry by means of Academia and Industry Cooperation. The theme of the fourth cycle is ‘Autonomous Systems’.
“Academia-Industry Cooperation Projects” are R&D projects, which require the participation of at least one Turkish academic Institution (public research center/higher education institution/training and research hospital) and one Qatar-based academic institution, as well as at least one Turkish industrial partner and one Qatar-based research end-user as submitting and collaborative institutions.
Description
QNRF funds up to US $200 thousand per project per year for the Qatar-based team. The proposal duration is up to 3 years. TÜBITAK funds up to 4 Million Turkish Liras (excl. overhead and Project Incentive Premium (PIP) ) per project.
Responsiveness to Challenges
Proposals are expected to tackle issues related to the technology of autonomous systems and/or their applications within one or more of the following areas:
1. Industry
- Oil & Gas
- Manufacturing
- Construction
2. Utilities
- Power Grids
- Water Networks
- Transportation

Potential Benefits
The funding is intended to enable foundations to be laid for a lasting R&D innovation partnership. It is intended that innovative potential in areas of shared expertise and competence will be further developed so that a contribution can be made to tackling societal challenges by working to solve common issues.
