Research Outcome Seminar (ROS) on Precision Medicine

Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF), a member of Qatar Foundation, cordially invites you to its Research Outcome Seminar (ROS) entitled, “Precision Medicine.”

Qatar is one of the first nations in the Middle East to adopt, promote, and develop precision medicine research. Moreover, Qatar is one of the few countries worldwide that has launched advanced genome projects including the Qatar Genome Programme (QGP) and Qatar Biobank (QBB). In line with the Qatar National Research Strategy, QNRF has developed and launched a special research program, “Path towards Precision Medicine (PPM),” to support, utilize, and capitalize on the resources of QGP and QBB.

The PPM aims to support and advance research that provides medical treatment tailored to the individual characteristics of each patient in Qatar based on their genetic profile to improve healthcare quality and reduce unnecessary diagnostic testing and therapies.

This ROS aims to highlight the major achievements and progress in precision medicine research in Qatar and stimulate the knowledge-sharing process by providing an interactive platform for researchers to share their outcomes. Join us to learn about exceptional research findings that explain the correlation between disease phenotype and genotype; explore the potential of translating the research findings into medical products for better healthcare, and promote a better understanding of personalized medicine among healthcare providers and the local community in Qatar.

•           The time: 10am – 12pm (Doha time)
