Belmont Forum Approves Qatar’s Research Proposal

The proposal titled “Formulating Sustainable Urban Food, Water and Energy (FEW) strategy by optimising the synergetic effects among food, water and energy sectors” that was submitted by a Qatari team to Belmont Forum for this year has been approved.

The research team comprising the Ministry of Municipality and Environment led by H E Dr. Mohammed in Saif Al Kuwari (pictured), Director of Center for Environment and Municipal Studies.

The event, which opened this morning at the Qatar National Convention Centre, is being held under the theme ‘R&D: Focusing on Priorities, Delivering Impact’.

The larger legacy of American Studies is a critique which is always about challenging and de-centring received wisdom, a prominent scholar told yesterday the opening session of the conference ‘From Tahrir Square to Zuccotti Park: The Arab Spring and the De-Centering of American Studies’ organised by the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies.

QBG to host environmental research contest for pupils

The Qur’anic Botanic Garden (QBG), a member of Qatar Foundation (QF), will host its third consecutive environmental research contest for secondary school students in Qatar.
The competition, which will see 20 high schools in Qatar participate in a variety of environmental research projects, aims to build a generation of students dedicated to exploring, researching and conserving natural resources, specifically plants.

الدوحة، قطر، -- ديسمبر 2018: نظم الصندوق القطري لرعاية البحث العلمي، عضو البحوث والتطوير والابتكار بمؤسسة قطر، ورشة عمل تمهيدية لإطلاق مبادرة تمويلية لتطوير واستخدام أحدث ابتكارات التصنيع الذكي في قطر، بالتعاون مع المجلس التركي للبحوث العلمية والتكنولوجية "توبيتاك"، الوكالة البحثية الرائدة في تركيا. 

وسوف يشهد هذا التعاون تضافر جهود الكيانين من أجل ابتكار وتطوير تقنيات جديدة في مجال التصنيع الذكي. كما تسعى المبادرة المشتركة إلى تعزيز الشراكات ما بين القطاعين العام والخاص، وحشد معارف وخبرات وموارد الدولتين، من أجل دعم الأولويات الوطنية المشتركة.
