Texas A&M Univ. at Qatar Receives USD 9.16 Mn

Two proposals from Texas A&M University at Qatar have been awarded a total of $9.16 million funding from the sixth batch of National Priorities Research Program – Exceptional Proposals (NPRP–EP). The NPRP-EP program is an extension of Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF), a center of Qatar Foundation Research & Development. The National Priorities Research Program (NPRP) offers a maximum budget of $5 million for a period of up to five years to proposals of exceptional scientific merit requiring resources in excess of the normal level of funding available under the NPRP. The NPRP-EP was created to enable scientists with exceptional ideas, approaches, procedures and models to undertake grand projects aimed at solving key issues for Qatar and the world.

Qatar National Research Fund organises ‘Ibn Al Haytham Days’

Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF), of Qatar Foundation Research and Development (QF R&D), held a two-day ‘Ibn Al Haytham Days,’ highlighting the Arab scholar. The event was held at the Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) Student Centre, in partnership with the Supreme Education Council (SEC), Sidra Medical and Research Centre, Qatar University, Texas A&M University at Qatar (TAMUQ) and the US embassy.
