Qatar National Research Fund awards three projects by students Qatar National Research Fund awards three projects by students David Edward Moore / Sunday, April 3, 2016 0 38996 Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF) has awarded top three research projects presented by students in the eighth cycle of its Undergraduate Research Experience Programme (UREP). The wining projects covered research areas, including biomedicine and health; engineering; and technology. First place in the competition went to a team from Texas A&M University at Qatar (TAMUQ). Titled ‘Investigation of the Performances of the Gas Electron Multiplier for Collider Experiments’, the project involved running experimental tests of the gas electron multiplier (GEM) under different conditions for future use in applications such as high energy collider experiments.
