Launch of the 21st Cycle of Conference and Workshop Sponsorship Program (CWSP)

Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF) is pleased to announce the launch of the 21st cycle of its "Conference and Workshop Sponsorship Program (CWSP)".

The program aims to connect researchers in Qatar to their peers and colleagues, both at home and abroad, by exposing researchers and students to new research directions, findings, and educational techniques. The CWSP will provide a hub for informing scientists from abroad about research opportunities in Qatar through interaction with their counterparts here, and encourage them to explore the potential for collaboration.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility of Lead Principal Investigator (LPI)

  • The LPI must be affiliated with a submitting institution in Qatar
  • The LPI must hold a research-oriented doctorate or any of the approved terminal degrees
  • The LPI should have at least five peer-reviewed publications

Eligibility of the event:

  • The event must be held in Qatar
  • The event theme must be evidently research-oriented
  • The event must be aligned to a Qatar National Research Strategy (QNRS) objective
  • The proposed date of the event must be at least four months after the submission deadline

Institution: Proposal submission should be through local institutions with approved research offices.

For more details about the eligibility criteria, please read the RFA document available at the download center. Online proposal submission for this cycle ends on 11 October 2021, and the funding announcement will be in December 2021.
