QNRF Announces Results for the First Cycle of the Rapid Response Call

Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF) is proud to announce the results of the first Rapid Response Call (RRC), a unique research program which enables researchers to explore novel and cutting-edge potential solutions to the numerous challenges currently faced across all sectors and at all levels of society because of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Staying true to its mission of servicing the national needs of Qatar and upholding the health and safety of its residents, we developed this unique research program from scratch in record time and accelerated the evaluation and funding phases to ensure that the proposed outcomes of awarded projects are met as soon as possible.

Under the inaugural cycle of RRC, QNRF received 230 proposals from researchers across Qatar, and, after a thorough competitive scientific and technical review process, 21 research proposals have been selected to receive funding. To achieve outcomes on a fast-track basis, researchers will be awarded grants worth up to QAR 100,000 each and given three months to complete their research projects.
