QNRF Announces Awardees for the Thirteenth Cycle of National Priorities Research Program-Standard

Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF) — a member of Qatar Foundation —  has announced the awardees for the thirteenth cycle of its flagship National Priorities Research Program-Standard (NPRP-S). The National Priorities Research Program is the main funding program of QNRF and enables research that can help Qatar address the Grand Challenges outlined in the Qatar National Research Strategy.

During this cycle, QNRF awarded 75 projects to researchers from ten institutions across Qatar. The awarded projects focus on advancing the knowledge and proposing innovative solutions to complex challenges faced in four priority areas including:

  • Energy and environment
  • Biomedical and health
  • Computer science and ICT
  • Social sciences, arts, and humanities

The NPRP-S encourages collaborative proposals involving teams from more than one institution along with international collaborations to enhance the research capacity in Qatar and engage multidisciplinary expertise.
